Hello 🤗 everyone 🤠 today 3- day of our practice and we come to the Modarikhon madrasah 🌟
Bukhara has long been famous for its many madrasahs. It was considered a city where students from different places visited for science education. According to Narshahi, "Forjak" madrasa, damaged by fire in 937, was one of the first madrasas in Central Asia" [1] . Abu Hafs Kabir Bukhari also founded a madrasa that greatly contributed to the development of scientific and religious knowledge in Bukhara O' In the Middle Ages, Madrasahs of Bukhara were famous not only in Central Asia, but also in the East as a place of learning.During the period of Amir Temur and Timurids, madrasahs served as centers of higher education.
According to Muhammad Ali Baljuvani, "by the beginning of the 20th century, the number of madrasahs in Bukhara was about 400" [2] . Madrasahs were founded mainly on the initiative of khans, officials, wealthy people and intellectuals, and were named after those individuals, sometimes after the neighborhood where the madrasah is located, or after the name of the guzar.
Modarikhan is one of themis a madrasah. The wall of this madrasa is typical of 16th century Bukhara architecture, the two ends of the wall are filled with baked bricks, and the middle is filled with broken bricks. The madrasa building was renovated in 1997-1998. It was built 455 years ago, that is, in 1566. It was completed by Abdullah Khan in honor of his mother in 1567. Modari Khan madrasa is located across from Abdullah Khan madrasa in Bukhara. Both make up the Koshmadrasam complex. Abdullakhan Madrasa was built in a domed style, incorporating Eastern traditions. Its appearance together with the Modarikhan Madrasah is an example of the "double" style.Madrasah gate is a unique example of Khotamkori style - carved from small pieces of wood in the shape of a girry. One of the unique aspects of the architectural monument is that the structure is quite different from the usual madrasas. The madrasa was built in a slightly tilted position towards the Modarikhan madrasa opposite it. Considering that Modarikhan Madrasah was built in honor of Abdullah Khan's mother, it is a special symbol of respect for his mother. This madrasa, which is a perfect example of the architecture of the Abdullah Khan period, shows all the creative achievements of Bukhara architecture in the 16th century. Due to some reasons, this madrasah was neglected and became a ruin. In 1997, on the occasion of the 2500th anniversary of the city of Bukhara, among all the architectural structures in Bukhara, the Madrasas of Abdullah Khan and Modari Khan were renovated. Currently, it has become a popular tourist destination for tourists and foreign tourists from different parts of Uzbekistan.
